Jacob Adams

Jacob Adams, 19, is a viola performance major in the Conservatory and a history major in the College. He began his studies at the age of 13 with Catharine Carroll at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He has traveled and performed with ensembles throughout the United States and Europe, in Turkey and in South Korea. As soloist, he has performed at El Escarral Palace in Spain, and with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Cincinnati's Music Hall.

His honors include winning the Wendell Irish Viola Award and the Ohio MTNA String Division Award. He has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the Interlochen Academy, the Opera Theater of Lucca (Italy) and Oberlin in Casalmaggiore.

A sophomore, he studies with Professor of Violin Almita Vamos and Professor of Violin and Viola Roland Vamos.
