	back to the main story		About the Jazz Forum Aiming to strengthen communication skills between musicians, the jazz studies department requires students to play in different ensembles. Each ensemble must perform at one Jazz Forum, which is held every Friday in Hales Gymnasium. "The ensembles that play in the Jazz Forums process our community. Their success has shaped attitudes, created a standard and set examples for other students," says Dominguez. "Ad hoc ensembles such as Rogue Squadron come out of this base." Rogue Squadron will continue to practice as an ensemble for the upcoming Small Group Concerts.
