About the Gaudeamus Foundation
The International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition for performers of contemporary music is sponsored by the Gaudeamus Foundation, a center which promotes the career development of young composers and musicians in the Netherlands and worldwide. Participants in the 33rd Biennial Competition prepared a 60-minute program of at least six contrasting works written after the year 1940, from which the judges selected different combinations of pieces for each round.
