Yoonie Choi
Yoonie Choi, cellist, was born in Seoul, Korea, and her musical education
began at age six. She was the winner of the Yuk-Young Competition in Seoul
in 1990, and at age 14, she was invited by Professor Marion Feldman to
attend the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. She currently attends
the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she is completing her Bachelors
Degree in Performance. Her teachers include Marion Feldman (New York,)
Norman Fisher (Texas,) Terry King (Utah,) and Peter Rejto (Oberlin.) She
has preformed in the United States, Europe, and Korea, and has participated
in many prestigious festivals including the Round Top festival, Park City
International Music Festival, and Oberlin in Casalmaggiore festival, among
many others.
