Faculty Chamber Music Series Concert February 18 Features All Brahms Program

The music of Johannes Brahms will be featured in Concert III of the Oberlin Faculty Chamber Music Series Sunday, February 18, at 4 p.m., in Finney Chapel. The Faculty Chamber Music Series is free and open to the public.

The program includes Zwei Gesänge, Op. 91, featuring Associate Professor of Singing Lorraine Manz, Professor of Viola Peter Slowik, and Associate Professor of Accompanying James Howsmon; Sonata No. 2 in F major, Op. 99, featuring Professor of Violoncello Peter Rejto and Professor of Piano Peter Takács; and Piano Quartet No. 2 in A major, Op. 26, featuring Professor of Violin Almita Vamos, Professor of Violin and Viola Roland Vamos, Professor of Piano Monique Duphil, and guest cellist Jay Humeston, former principal cellist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic.

Founded seven years ago to showcase the Conservatory's faculty talent, the Faculty Chamber Music Series schedules two concerts each semester. The series concludes April 15 with a concert featuring Bach, Tchaikovsky and Trimble.
