By Charity Johnson ('99)

Let "n" stand for . . . nuanced . . . novel . . . new music.

OCEAn-the Ohio Community of Electro Acoustic n (where n is a variable)-a consortium of faculty and students from eight music schools and conservatories in Ohio, including the Oberlin Conservatory of Music-will present a four-concert festival of electro-acoustic and electronic music at the Conservatory the weekend of Nov. 17 and 18.

The free, public concerts take place in Kulas Recital Hall and Warner Concert Hall, and are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The popular Kent-based group Twine, called "complex and captivating" by the Cleveland Free Times, will close the festival, which is sponsored by the Conservatory's TIMARA (Technology In Music And Related Arts) department.
