From June 18 to July 1, the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute (BPI) will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the death of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) by focusing on the life and works of this greatest of Baroque masters. The Institute, now in its 29th season, brings together an international faculty of acclaimed performers and scholars, and draws students ranging from high schoolers through young professionals and adult amateurs.

Hosted at the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, the two-week Institute offers intensive instruction in voice, choral conducting, and instruction on a large variety of baroque instruments, including violin, viola, cello, viola da gamba, flute, recorder, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, organ, and harpsichord.
