Members of Quatuor Mosaïques; Anita Mitterer, Erich Hobarth, Andrea Bischof, Christophe Coin

Quatuor Mosaïques, a string quartet specializing in performance on original instruments, will visit the Conservatory for two offerings on Thursday, April 29. The group will offer a short recital at 2 p.m. in Kulas Recital Hall, followed by break out master classes in Central rooms 32 and 34, at 2:30 p.m. All offerings are free and open to the public.

The group is reviewed in the April 27, New York Times, following their NYC performance at the Frick Collection.

David Breitman, director of the Historical Performance program says the department is very excited about the group's residency. "The Mosaïques are state-of-the-art. It's a rare opportunity for us to hear the standard repertory performed on cassical-period instruments, by a group that's been performing together for 17 years. This stop is part of their first North American tour."
