Professor of Electronic and Computer Music

The work of Gary Lee Nelson, professor of electronic and computer music, is showcased in a Discovery Channel Online feature article: "The Sound of Chaos: The Music Makers." The piece not only highlights interesting composers (including Nelson), it also offers audio and visual clips of fractal music, and invites readers to "try your hand at creating a fractal tune."

In "The Music Makers," Tac Leung writes: Even though musicians are creating fractal music of all types - from dance to Gamelan - the admittedly odd music has yet to hit the charts." Nelson says, "There isn't a big audience for music that is complex and difficult. There never has been."
