Linda Shockley is director of public relations at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. As a publicist, she has represented clients with national and international profiles, including the Santa Fe Opera, Western States Arts Federation, Santa Fe Film Festival, the New Mexico Governor's Arts Awards and the March of Dimes Celebrity Ski Classic. As a feature writer, Shockley's work has been published in a variety of publications, including L.A. Style, Palm Springs Life, New Mexico Magazine, Sojourns, Blue Ridge Country, Ski New Mexico, Mountain Biking magazine and The Santa Fean. She wrote "Nightbeat," a weekly music column for The New Mexican and contributed frequent arts coverage to The Albuquerque Journal. Her poetry has been published in Rolling Stone and Dance Ink magazines. Shockley is a graduate of Hollins College and a 1981 National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow. |
