Double Degree Information

Oberlin offers a unique opportunity to those students who desire to combine rigorous pre-professional music training with a broad liberal arts education. Double Degree students may complete work for the Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music and the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences in as few as five years.

Each year approximately 25 to 35 students enter under the Double Degree program. Students in the program pursue a major in each division. Majors may be closely interrelated, such as Voice and French or German, or quite unrelated, e.g., Piano and Government. Prospective Double Degree students apply for admission to each division separately.

Students already enrolled in one division may enter the Double Degree program by applying for admission to the other division.
