FACULTY

Lillian Klotz

Lillian Klotz recently completed a Master’s degree in violin performance at the Pennsylvania State University. After earning a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from Oberlin Conservatory where she was a student of Andrew Jennings, Klotz taught middle school orchestra in Tempe and Phoenix, Arizona for two years. Klotz is an enthusiastic member of Music Educators’ National Conference, American String Teachers’ Association, and the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

In State College, Klotz performed in the Penn State University Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras, and in the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra and Graduate String Quartet. In addition to classical training, she began performing Klezmer music at age 12. Klezmer music has led Klotz to other non-classical experiences; she can be found collaborating for recordings with pop and rock artists, and playing an occasional tango or blues number.
