General Commencement Information
Welcome to Oberlin College’s Commencement web site. This year Commencement Weekend is Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day). Times listed are Eastern Standard Time.
A detailed program, along with housing, dining and ticket order forms, will be mailed to graduating seniors and their parents in mid-March. At that time reservations for the various ticketed events, theater productions, meals and on-campus housing can be made. Those who prefer motels to residence halls may wish to make room reservations early. The Oberlin College Inn is not available for booking during Commencement Weekend.
The Oberlin Commencement Exercises are held outdoors on Tappan Square at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 25. Unless the weather is extremely bad, the Commencement Exercises will be held on Tappan Square as scheduled—bring appropriate rain gear. No tickets are required for outdoor Commencement. The area is handicapped-accessible.
