The Office of College Relations
The
Office of College Relations comprises a number of areas, which function
to inform the College community and the rest of the world about
Oberlin:
- The Electronic Projects area supports the College's web
design, video and multimedia projects including many aspects of Oberlin Online, the College's website.
- Media
Relations promotes Oberlin and its intellectual rigor,
artistic excellence and social engagement in print and broadcast
media at all levels: international, national, and local. Media
relations staffers connect reporters with faculty and staff experts,
provide them with background information, tip and fact-sheets,
press releases and advisories, photo opportunities and other assistance.
- The Oberlin
Alumni Magazine informs Oberlinians about the College
and about one another. The quarterly magazine seeks to balance
coverage of the many disciplines and interests that engage alumni,
as well as current students, faculty, and staff members. It includes
articles on current thoughts, issues, and topics, as well as on
Oberlin history and tradition.
- The Ombudsperson works to help improve
the quality of discourse on campus by providing individuals--primarily
students--with the tools to resolve conflicts, solve problems,
and better communicate with one another.
- The Publications area produces publications for all other
offices on campus, including the Office of the President, and the Admissions Offices
of the Conservatory of Music and the College of Arts and Sciences.
