Oberlin College offers a unique opportunity to students who want to combine rigorous pre-professional music training with a broad liberal arts education. In as few as five years, double-degree students may complete work for the Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music and the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. Double-degree students commit exceptional talent and intellectual passion. They often demonstrate a capacity for intensive focus in an academic discipline, which brings context and imagination to their music.
The College of Arts and Science and the Conservatory of Music have separate application processes; students must be accepted to both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music to pursue the double-degree program.
