The summer months are the time when CIT staff members conduct necessary, critical updates, upgrades, preventive maintenance, reconfigurations, etc. Many of these efforts are time-consuming and most can only be accomplished during this time due to the extensive work involved. The schedule for summer 2008 is depicted below.

02 June, 0830-1000 A.M.	Reconfigure all wireless on campus	Wireless will be unavailable during the scheduled work time; all users will need to reauthenticate once wireless becomes available and they attempt to reuse.
02-03 June	Fiber re-pull in Wilder Hall	Network down in Wilder, Security, Daub House, Yellow House - down 2 hours for Security, others could be until the next day.
02-06 June	Upgrade Art Library and Con Library Mac computers - reconfigure, upgrade software as applicable	Computers unavailable during upgrades
02-13 June	Upgrade Windows computers in Social Science Data Lab, King 137 - reconfigure, upgrade software as applicable	Lab unavailable during upgrade
03 June, 1200 P.M. (noon)	Required server maintenance	Mail server will be inoperable for approximately 10-15 minutes.
03-04 June	Pharos Uniprint upgrade - requires upgrade to all Print Release Stations before printing can resume	Printing in all CIT-maintained computer labs and facilities unavailable
03-04 June	ARMS system upgrade - server and clients	ARMS system unavailable
09-13 June	Upgrade the following Mac labs - : Mudd Level A, Mudd Academic Commons, Mudd Writing Center, Adaptive Technologies room (Mudd 204)	Labs unavailable during upgrade
09-13 June	Upgrade to CIT Wiki	CIT Wiki unavailable to users during upgrade
10 June, 0730-0800 A.M.	Upgrade software on perimeter firewall	Internet access unavailable for a few minutes.
10 June, 0730-0800 A.M.	Campus network firewall upgrade	All networking unavailable for a few minutes.
10 June, 0800-0900 A.M.	Move Resnet to new DHCP server	Brief network outages during transition - downtime minimal
13-14 June	Major Facilities-led power outage - entire Computer Center required to be down - all servers and systems affected	No computer resources - network, email, Banner, oncampus, etc. - available during this work (10 P.M. Friday, 13 June until midnight Saturday, 14 June - down all day Saturday). See complete details online.
14-16 June	Upgrade to Administrative systems, including Banner, PRESTO, and FAMIS	Administrative systems unavailable during upgrades; expected back up by 0630 Monday morning, 16 June.
16-20 June	Upgrade Windows labs - new configurations, upgrade software as applicable: Mudd Level A, Mudd Academic Commons, Mudd Multi-media room	Lab unavailable during upgrade
23-27 June	Upgrade Windows labs - new configurations, upgrade software as applicable: Academic Commons; Upgrade Macs - Academic Commons classroom; Provide facilities to Conference Services group, Digital Film Camp - using Academic Commons multi-media room half days	Labs/facilities unavailable during upgrade and during use by external group
