Resnet Software

The Center for Information Technology will provide you with all the software that you need to get on the Internet. When you get to campus, in order to authenticate or join the Oberlin network initially, all you really need is to have a web browser installed.

For all the CIT provided software, you can either install it yourself, or, if you are willing to wait until an RCC can help you, we can help you install it. Besides a web browser, we can provide you with the preferred campus e-mail program (Mac OS X Mail* or Mozilla.org's Thunderbird), McAfee's VirusScan (for Windows) and Sophos (for Macintosh) anti-virus software, Novell Netware** client and several other Internet utilities.

All of this software is available on the Oberlin College CIT software downloads
(The CIT Downloads site requires authentication with an ObieID and password.)

*
Provided in Mac OS X.

** Netware Installation can be skipped. You can access Stulocker without the Netware client at https://stulocker.cc.oberlin.edu/NetStorage/NetStorage
