Microsoft
Windows Network Browsing and iTunes sharing limited to
improve network performance:
If you use a computer in North Campus or South
Campus, you will only be able to see other Windows computers
or iTunes shares in your immediate area. This usually means
others on your residence hall floor or your half of a residence
hall. This affects Windows users and all iTunes users browsing
the network for other Windows users, iTunes users (sharing
their music) and Macintosh users running Macintosh OS 10.2
or higher browsing the network
for other Windows users.
Also, AppleTalk zones were removed from the network
in June 2006. |
