6. Click on the Save Button. You may need to grab the window and move it up, since the save button might be under the dock. It will be visible through the buttons of the dock, but unclickable. Just move it up and click Save.

7. Open your Web Browser, authenticate with your Obiemail username and password.

Configuring for Macintosh (Using up to OS 9.2x)

Your Macintosh is using either Open Transport (which is newer) or Classic Networking to connect to the network. If you are using Open Transport you will have an "Apple Talk" control panel and a "TCP/IP" control panel, but NOT a "Network" control panel. If you do not have a "TCP/IP" control panel, talk with your RCC; you may not be able to connect to Resnet.

1. First, check what version of Open Transport you have. If you have anything less than Open Transport 1.1.1, you may need to upgrade to 1.1.2. To download Open Transport 1.1.2, check Apple's Web site (http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n10739) Contact your RCC if you need more information.

2. Once you are sure you have the appropriate version of Open Transport, go to the AppleTalk control panel (Apple Menu -> Control Panels -> AppleTalk).

3. Select Connect via: "Ethernet". Change the Current Zone: to "Resnet North" or "Resnet South", depending on which side of campus you're at.

4. Close the Apple Talk control panel and click on the "Save" button.

5. Open the TCP/IP control panel. (Apple Menu -> Control Panels -> TCP/IP).

6. Select Connect via: "Ethernet". Select Configure: "Using DHCP Server". In the "Search Domains" field, enter "oberlin.edu".

7. If prompted to restart your computer, do so.

8. Open your Web Browser, authenticate with your Obiemail username and password.
