getting started with resnet

what you need to do

When you arrive on campus, visit the Resnet website (so far so good). All of the directions to connect to the network will be available here as well as any updates and new information. The Resnet webpages are the best source for news and information that affects you as a member of the Oberlin Resnet community, so check it frequently.
If you live in a dorm room and have brought your own computer, the first thing you need to do is check to see if you have the necessary equipment, including at least the minimally required system hardware, network hardware, and network software. If you will require the assistance of your RCC, look around the dorm for signs and sign up as quickly as possible. Once all of this is set, you can plug your computer into the network and register in Resnet. If you have any other questions, please send an e-mail message to cit@oberlin.edu. Don't forget to include your dorm and room number in the message.
