Server-Side filtering

CIT uses two products at the server end of things to minimize unwanted or undesirable email messages.

  • First, mail is passed through a spam filter, which checks for known and suspected spam, and removes or quarantines messages, as applicable. Further information on the spam filter can be found online.
  • After processing through the spam filter, messages are then passed to anti-virus product, which checks attachments for known viruses and worms and deletes those found, passing on a message to the recipient, so stating.
