This is the first step toward requiring network authentication for all computers, prior to accessing the campus network, as a means of enhancing network security. This product has been in place for some time for Resnet and will now be installed for the campus. The action on this date will involve installation of necessary equipment. Actual authentication will be required in March or April (users will be notified of the new process prior to implementation). No impact to the users is expected on 28 Dec. |
