CIT will be upgrading the NAC product, used to authenticate computers prior to accessing the network. On-campus network access will be unavailable for approximately 1/2 hour, followed by 1/2 hour downtime for Resnet. This will affect e-mail and web access. |
| Repair of cabling in network closet in Wilder |

Due to vandalism, the network closet in Wilder Hall must be re-cabled. Contractors will be onsite. Network access will be unavailable for all of Wilder Hall, Security, Daub House, and College Relations. |

of network authorization requirement for all on-campus users (faculty
and staff) |
Fall 2006 |
Will affect
all on-campus users (faculty and staff) connecting to the campus
network. We will be implementing a process (already in place for
students on resnet) whereby all computers attached to the campus
network will first be checked for updated virus software and updated
systems software, and will be scanned for problems (viruses, spyware,
etc.). This is being done to help ensure the integrity of the network. |
