Software Help

CIT provides assistance with software at the following levels:

  • Supported: CIT will provide support to the fullest extent possible, based on our knowledge base and resources.
  • Partially Supported: CIT will provide support as much as possible. Knowledge base and resources at this level are known to be more limited.
  • Unsupported: CIT does not support. (CIT will try to provide recommendations or referrals, if possible.) Generally means the software was not purchased through CIT, or we have no knowledge of or experience with the software application.

A list of software and the applicable level of support can be found online at: CIT Policies -> Support Policy.

Users desiring software assistance should contact the Help Desk at x58197 or in Mudd 005. Students in labs may seek assistance from the on-duty Technology Consultant in the Technology Services Center (TSC), room 112B of the Academic Commons, main level of Mudd Center.
