Laptop Loaners

The Help Desk has a small amount of laptops, both Windows and Macintosh, available for checkout to staff and faculty. These laptops are intended to be used for conferences and other business trips, for a maximum of two weeks at any one time. Personnel may request use for extended periods, but those requests will be approved based on availability.

CIT will bill, at the rate designated on the check-out form, users who retain laptops, without explanation, beyond the written due date.

Faculty and staff who routinely check out laptop loaners will be advised to request purchase of a laptop from their respective supervisors.

Note: laptops MUST be checked out by the person who will be using the laptop. This person must sign a form acknowledging responsibility for the laptop.

Students may not check out laptops from the Help Desk. Students may check out laptops overnight from the main Library circulation desk.

Faculty who desire to use a laptop for classes should contact OCTET.
