If your e-mail password (which is also your web account password) has already expired and you can no longer get into ObieMail to change it, do one of the following:

• visit the CIT Help Desk in Mudd 005 with a photo ID
• send a fax to (440) 775-8573, with a copy of your photo ID, your email username, contact information (in case we run into problems), and two password choices, which must:

  be between 6 and 8 characters long

  include numbers and/or punctuation marks in addition to letters

  NOT have been used for this account in the last 18 months

  NOT be an English dictionary word or a proper noun

  NOT include runs of characters (e.g. 123, abc, qwerty)

  NOT include blank spaces

Also, keep in mind that your password is case sensitive. If you write in block lettering, we will assume you want your password to be all uppercase. Your password will be changed within one business day of our receiving your information.

After faxing the information wait 24 hours, try both the options you sent, and email us back at cit@oberlin.edu if you still cannot access your account.
