Duane fixes most things himself, and generally does a half-assed job (e.g. fixes things shoddily and temporarily at best). Temperature Is the residence well insulated? No Are there window screens? Yes Are there storm windows? Yes Is the residence warm enough? Yes, but it's very expensive to heat Is it hard to regulate the heat? (For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): Yes Comments on any of the above (temperature): Heat is easy to regulate in most of the house, but there is one bedroom which is always really hot when the heat is on, and one which doesn't really get any heat at all. When people have been unable to pay rent promptly, he has always been understanding. Neighborhood & Location Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Townspeople For whom is the noise level appropriate? Rowdy college students Problems with location? Too far to walk to town Comments on the neighborhood: In a poorer neighborhood. Neighbors have been polite and friendly. There are some old church ladies and some younger (20s-30s) folk as well. Quite a few kids. We have had parties and never gotten any noise complaints.
