summer gas bills are aroung $20, winter gas bills are around $180-230. We put in a water-saving kit and our water and sewer bills went from $40/month to $20/month (each). We tried to use a lot of compact flourencent lightbulbs, but vaccuming and the oven use more electricity. We have a chart of our bills in the house. Temperature Is the residence well insulated? No Are there window screens? No Are there storm windows? No Is the residence warm enough? Yes, but it's very expensive to heat Is it hard to regulate the heat? (For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): No Comments on any of the above (temperature): We kept it around 50 F each night durng the winter, and 65 during the evenings when we are home. Bring lots of blankets. Some windows have screens, some do not. Not sure about insulation. Relationship With Landlord Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? No Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): Yes Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? No Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): No Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): No If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): No Explanations and comments: Mr. Wu does a good job giving notice for the most part. As far as repairs, unless it is something urgent (fire extinguisher needed replacing), he prefers to leave repairs until the summer. Neighborhood & Location Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Mix For whom is the noise level appropriate? School children Problems with location? None of the above Comments on the neighborhood: It is right across for the elementary school, close to Tank. Mr. Steinbring (Physics dept.) lives next door.
