Comments on condition:
The house appeared nice, though in reality was falling apart. The stairs to the basement are not attached to the wall anymore, and sway as you walk down them. The ceiling in the living room was crumbling a little bit and had huge brown stains on it. The windows were not good and drafts came in the house at all times. The toilet on the first floor constantly runs and wastes water which accounts for a high bill. Also, the breaker is overloaded ad regularly shorts out, the landlords will not fix this even after an electrician recommended it because of the cost-$200. The house has no insulation, the walls feel cold to the touch in winter.

Temperature
Is the residence well insulated? No
Are there window screens? Yes
Are there storm windows? Yes
Is the residence warm enough? No
Is it hard to regulate the heat?
(For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): Yes

Comments on any of the above (temperature):
The house has little or no insulation, and the windows are not fitted correctly in the frames leaving gaps with cold drafts that come though.

Relationship With Landlord

Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? Yes

Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No

Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): Yes

Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? Yes

Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): Yes

Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): Yes

If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): No

Explanations and comments:
When our electricity broke for the second or third time the landlords tried to hold us responsible for plugging too many things in. We did not pay, though we did not get our security deposit back either. They gave us a long list of repairs they claimed they made, though there was little to no damage. After talking to the current residents, they claimed that no repairs had been made, and that the house had not even been cleaned, something they charged us over $500 for.

Neighborhood & Location
Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Mix
For whom is the noise level appropriate? School children
Problems with location? None of the above

Comments on the neighborhood:
Corner of Vine and Main next to the flower shop. A nice location, though very limited parking during the snow bad. Shared driveway with the flower shop means that you cannot park in it. 2 spots behind house, in back yard. No back yard if cars are parked there.
