Comments on condition:
This house was built very cheaply and things break very easily. A brisk wind can break a porch window or screen. Walls dent when leaned upon and the toilets are very touchy.

Temperature
Is the residence well insulated? No
Are there window screens? Yes
Are there storm windows? No
Is the residence warm enough? No
Is it hard to regulate the heat?
(For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): Yes

Comments on any of the above (temperature):
One bedroom does not have heat vents, nor does the bathroom, so it becomes very cold in the winter. The kitchen is often very cold because air leaks from the basement and through the glass sliding doors to the porch. The other bedroom, living room, parlor, and hallway are very temperate while everything else is frigid.

Relationship With Landlord

Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? Yes

Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No

Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): No

Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? No

Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): Yes

Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): No

If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): No

Explanations and comments:
I'm not sure if we'll receive our full deposits when we move out; the landlord is sort of a jerk and has been known to say things were the tentants' fault.

Neighborhood & Location
Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Mix
For whom is the noise level appropriate? Rowdy college students
Problems with location? 0

Comments on the neighborhood:
The laundromat next door can be rather annoying; people are always slamming doors and getting into arguments which are completely audible inside the house. Also, high school students go by the house making a lot of noise. We can hear Friday night high school football games perfectly, however.
