Comments on condition:
Dust and cat hair covered just about everything. Didn't look like the place had been cleaned in quite some time. I have a slight dust/cat allergy, but the place gave me a few nasty sinus infections.

Calling the place "furnished" is somewhat of a misnomer. The matresses are stained and uncomfortable, everything is covered in a thick layer of dust, and the premises are cramped.

Temperature
Is the residence well insulated? No
Are there window screens? No
Are there storm windows? No, so we put plastic on the windows
Is the residence warm enough? No
Is it hard to regulate the heat?
(For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): Yes

Comments on any of the above (temperature):
For as cold as the house was throughout the winter, the gas prices were ridiculously high. The place was freezing over the winter, and I was forced to purchase electric space heaters to keep from freezing while she went on vacation for three months.

We were also somehow charged a gas bill when it had been turned off during certain months.

Relationship With Landlord

Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? No

Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No

Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): Yes

Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? No

Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): Yes

Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): Yes

If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): Yes

Explanations and comments:
There were legal problems. Arguments over rent and security deposit. It got worse from there, but I am not inclined to post the particulars online.

Neighborhood & Location
Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Mix
For whom is the noise level appropriate? School children
Problems with location? None of the above

Comments on the neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet in the evening, don't expect to sleep in on week days however with a screaming grade school right across the street.
