Slanted floors, ugly wood paneling (but he lts you paint over it)..Great place if you like big parties - a lot of space. Heating bill was very high, but we split it four or five ways, so not too bad. Problem with shower water draining, wiring is old and not great - power goes out when too many appliances working.
Kitchen and bathroom were just redone this year, so they are pretty nice. Temperature Is the residence well insulated? No Are there window screens? No Are there storm windows? No, so we put plastic on the windows Is the residence warm enough? Yes, but it's very expensive to heat Is it hard to regulate the heat? (For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): No Comments on any of the above (temperature): Some bedrooms are much colder than others. Our heating bill was so high that we ended up keeping thermostat way down and wearing more clothes. Relationship With Landlord Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? No Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): Yes Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? No Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): No Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): No If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): Explanations and comments: Mr. Baker is an electrician and has attempted to repair our wiring, has had our shower drain fixed and had our front door repaired when it was kicked in... Neighborhood & Location Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Townspeople For whom is the noise level appropriate? School children Problems with location? 0 Comments on the neighborhood: It is a bit far from town (past groveland) but some of us walk, and we have bikes and cars. The neighborhood feels a little sketchy at night, but I don't think it is actually unsafe.
We are definitely the loudest of our neighbors. Family lives on one side of house, church on the other side. Lots of kids in the neighborhood.
