The condition of the ceiling in the closet in the living room is a lot worse than the rest of the place. Hwoever, Doug is a gret landlord, and any issues you have, he's right there. I had issues with my heat once in two years, and he was working on it all weekend, gave me his personal heater and offered his own house if I couldn't find another place to stay and it got too cold for me. Also, if you want to keep it for the summer, he'll rent it to you for half or less. Temperature Is the residence well insulated? Yes Are there window screens? No Are there storm windows? Yes Is the residence warm enough? Yes Is it hard to regulate the heat? (For example, does the thermostat work? Do you have to open windows in the winter?): No Comments on any of the above (temperature): See above Relationship With Landlord Does s/he enter the premises without your consent or without giving legal notice? No Have you observed on the part of the landlord/landlady discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.? No Is the landlord/landlady willing to make repairs? If yes, comment on how promptly (below): Yes Have you had any disagreements with your landlord/landlady concerning who has the responsibility for making the repairs? No Do you expect to have any problems getting your security deposit returned? If yes, why? (Explain below.): No Have you had any major disagreements with your landlord/landlady? (Explain below.): No If yes, have you taken any legal action concerning the disagreement? (Explain below.): No Explanations and comments:
Neighborhood & Location Are your neighbors towns-people, students, or a mix? Mix For whom is the noise level appropriate? School children Problems with location? None of the above Comments on the neighborhood: In general it's quiet- but occasionally, becuase it is a building with all students, it gets pretty loud, but everybody is pretty considerate- and very nice. You are surrounded by townies, so the outside noise is always quiet. It's a nice location for the con because it's close enough for practice and town, but far enough away to have some space and get out of the noise on the weekends.
