Council Approves a Step Toward Sanctuary City

Oberlin City Council passed a "no assist" resolution with a 6-to-1 vote on January 20. The resolution ensures that the City will provide services to city residents without checking a resident's immigration status or documents.

Oberlin College to Take Over Apollo

College students and local residents alike have warm, fuzzy memories of Oberlin's historic Apollo Theater, one of the few remaining single-screen theaters in the country. But when College Properties of Oberlin announ ced its tentative purchase of the Apollo on Tuesday, the move drew mixed reactions.

All-Student Cast Raises SubUrbia to New Heights

I should mention that I was not coerced into writing this review by Eric Bogosian, OC '76, not by the Oberlin theater department; I just really liked SubUrbia. The playwas funny and frightening; it was meaningful and arbitrary; it was depressing and, in an indirect sort of way, optimistic.
