Workshops, Discussions, and Informal Social Gatherings offered by the Center for Excellence in Teaching

 

Below is a list of workshops that have been offered or are being planned for the academic year 2001-2002. Staff at the Center for Excellence in Teaching will be happy to work with departments or individuals to arrange for additional workshops.

 Pedagogy Happy Hours.

 Teaching Writing: A Winter-term workshop for new or newer faculty offered in cooperation with the Rhetoric and Composition Department. Jan Cooper, John Charles Reid Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition, is conducting the workshop.

 Using Student Evaluations to Improve Teaching

 Teaching Writing to First Year College Students: This workshop will be offered in the Summer '02. Jan Cooper, John Charles Reid Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition is conducting the workshop in conjunction with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and the First-year Seminar Program.
