Oberlin College's
Center for Excellence in Teaching
The Oberlin College Center for Excellence in Teaching was established
in the Fall of 2001 in response to a report written by the special committee
on faculty roles, responsibilities, and rewards
(please see Section II of the report). Oberlin College's teaching
faculty voted unanimously to endorse the creation of a teaching center
in the Spring of 2001.
Our center is committed to supporting and enhancing teaching at all levels
and across the entire curriculum. We believe that the best way to inform
people about teaching is by integrating the experiences of expert teachers
with the research on teaching and learning. Thus, you will find information
about and links to the many committees at Oberlin that concern themselves
with pedagogy, as well as information about and links to relevant research.
Our site is under construction. Some of the links may not be active yet.
Please be patient and check back often. You can click on the link to new
information in the navagation bar for quick access to new information.
Who dares
to teach must never cease to learn.
