Dascomb Dining Hall is located south of the Wilder Student Union building.

By offering more local foods through our Farm to Fork program and by pledging to offer only antibiotic-free chicken we are making strides towards a healthier, more socially responsible dining service. We are also working to meet the needs of our students by providing many food venues to select from daily as described below:

  • Ring of Fire:
    The Ring of Fire bar provides Asian-style cooking during lunch and an eclectic group of food bars at dinner.
  • Classic Comforts/Vegetarian Comforts
    Sometimes we all need traditional "comfort" foods to help us through the day. We use only choice grade meats and grade A vegetables to prepare our comfort foods for you. Vegetarian comfort foods include items made with seitan, tofu, beans and other high quality protein sources.
  • Grill
    Hamburgers are just hamburgers...not at Oberlin. We only use ground chuck to prepare our hamburgers. We use only antibiotic-free chicken breasts on our grill. In addition to traditional grill items, specialty grill sandwiches or items such as Italian sausage, Reubens and more will be featured daily for lunch and dinner at Dascomb.
  • Campus Deli & Soups
    The deli offers hummus, tabbouleh, and other vegetarian selections as well as a variety of deli meats daily. Meat-based and vegetarian soups are featured daily.
  • Pizza
    Pepperoni and plain cheese pizzas are certainly favorites on campus, but our creative pizza makers are always finding new combinations that are fast becoming new favorites like our BBQ chicken, cinnamon toast and spinach, feta and tomato pizzas.
  • Salad Bar
    Dascomb has an extensive salad bar that showcases locally grown produce when available. Typically, the salad bar offers a mesclun mix and a romaine mix of lettuces to begin your salad. Vegetables minimally include red, yellow and green bell peppers, shredded carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, red onion slices, chickpeas, tofu, sunflower seeds, raisins, two prepared deli-type salads, red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a variety of salad dressings.Grapes, melons, strawberries, pears, and other cut or small fruits are found year-round at this bar. They are accompanied by low fat yogurt and low fat cottage cheese.
  • Beverage Center
    Along with the standard beverage fare of fountain drinks, we offer juices, soy milk, natural 2% milk, natural whole milk, natural chocolate milk, and fair-trade coffee.
  • Dessert Bar
    Baked goodies from the campus bakery fill this table. Cookies, cakes, pies, brownies and more are offered daily.
