Learning Assistance Program

The Learning Assistance Program provides comprehensive academic support for all students in the development of skills necessary for effective performance in and positive adjustment to Oberlin College's learning environment. Individual and group tutorials are available in most subject areas for 100-level and 200-level courses.

Module courses are offered in major study skills including note-taking, effective listening and communications, time management, efficient reading skills, analytical reading, mastering quantitative skills for the social and natural sciences, speaking English as a second language, and reducing test-taking and mathematics anxiety. Staff members will also offer Winter Term projects in their areas of specialization and provide related services through the Learning Resource Center.
