Fellowships: Overview |
|||||||||||||
Fellowships are financial awards given to pursue research,
study, or travel. A fellowship is similar to a scholarship, but usually
carries more responsibility on the part of the recipient. Finding and applying for fellowships is a time-consuming process. The skills you develop in the process will help you in the future, whether or not you win an award. For example, you will learn how to write an effective resume and/or personal statement. You will learn how to organize your time and coordinate requests for transcripts and recommendations to meet a deadline. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Stories of previous winners on Oberlin Online 2008-2009 Oberlin Senior Named Rhodes Scholar Oberlin Senior named Watson winner Banner year for Oberlin Fulbright awards Four Oberlin students honored by the Goldwater Foundation 2007-2008 Oberlin Junior wins prestigious Truman Scholarship Oberlin Students Competitive in National Fellowship Competitions 2006-2007 2005-2006 2004-2005 Letter from President Nancy S.
