The Firelands Symphony Young Artists Competition 2007.  Firelands, Ohio.  For all instruments and voice.  Application deadline is December 8, 2007.  Pick up application form hanging from posters in the Conservatory or call the Symphony Office at 419.621.4800.

Willaim C. Byrd Young Artist Competition for Piano.  Flint, MI.  March 3, 2007.  Application deadline is January 17, 2007.  For more information visit www.byrdartists.com. 

 

BMI Foundation presents the Peermusic Latin Scholarship 2007 for Songwriters and Composers.  A $5000 scholarship will be awarded for the best original Latin song or instrumental composition.  Contest closes January 26, 2007.  Applications and rules are available online at www.bmifoundation.org.

APRIL:

 

Young Musicians Competition.  Hewlett, New York.  For Music Theatre, Strings, Piano, and Voice.  Instrumentalists and voice shall prepare four works (Baroque, Classic, Romantic, and Contemporary styles).  Music Theatre competitors shall have four selections from the standard stage repertoire.  Auditions are in late May 2007 and must apply by April 18, 2007.  Mail $25, self addressed and stamped business envelope, recent 2x2 photo, and three written programs to: 5 Towns Music & Arts Foundation Inc, PO Box 238, Hewlett, NY 11557.
