New York Arts Program. www.newyorkartsprogram.org.  Alvin Sher, Director of the Great Lakes College Association NY Arts Program, will be available to meet with students for individual appointments on March 9, 2006 between 10:45-12:15 pm and 1:30-4:15 pm in Room 126 in the Art Building (John PearsonÕs Office on the Sculpture Court behind the Allen Memorial Art Museum). Please sign up for an appointment in the Art Department Office, Room 166.  At 4:30 pm Mr. Sher will give a presentation about the program in Classroom 2 in the 1937 Ward Addition Art Building.

SUMMER JOBS:

 

The Office of Career Services will award three need-based stipends of up to $2,500 each to students completing unpaid summer internships during summer 2006 from the following funds: Class of 1968 Leadership Fund, Peter Goldsmith Internship Fund,Young Alumni Internship Fund.  Eligibility: Oberlin first-year students, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to apply.   Students must have secured an unpaid summer internship by the deadline for this application.   Priority will be given to students with financial need. The stipend may be awarded to either credit or non-credit internships. Submit three copies of the following to The Office of Career Services, Stevenson-Longman by 5:00pm on Monday, March 13th , 2006: Unofficial transcript, Resume and names and contact information for two references, Personal essay (1-2 pages and include information about yourself, information about the internship and why it is important to you, and a statement of financial need), Detailed budget of your expected expenses, Completed application form (also available in Career Services office).
