Quick internship application guide (Internships are available starting 10/10/07, but will be continuously added to so check back often):

1. Look through available internships

  • Go to the Career Services homepage
  • Click on the ObieOpps link on the right side of the page
  • Log in using your t-number as your username and obie as your password
  • On the "Jobs and Internships" menu at the top of the page click the "job/internship Search" tab
  • Under 1-click searches click "Winter Term Internships 2008" on the left side
  • Note: To search for Community Service Opportunities click "CSL Winter Term Community Service Opportunities" on the left
2. Upload your resume
  • On the "Documents" pop-up menu in the upper left corner of the screen click "Upload a Document"
  • Select the type of document you wish to upload.
  • Click "Choose File" and select your document. (It is recommended that you first save your document to the 'desktop'. Do not try to upload documents across the network, i.e. from your student locker.)
  • Click the "Upload" button

3. Apply

  • Go to the page with the description of the internship you'd like to apply for
  • Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the page
  • Select the resume you'd like to send to this employer
  • Select any additional documents, if required (even if not required, a cover letter is a good idea!)
  • Click the "Submit" button

Individual Advising
If you are not interested in any of the internships coordinated through The Office of Career Services, meet with a Career Counselor to discuss your specific career interests and receive assistance in developing your own internship. This is an individualized process depending on your career interest and where you want to be geographically during winter term. Make an individual appointment by stopping in or calling our office at 440-775-8140.
