Obies gather in Finney Chapel to hear lectures, concerts, and more concerts. Finney can hold most of the student body, and has excellent acoustics.
The Oberlin Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, the Musical Union, and many other ensembles ensure that some sort of event is scheduled at Finney almost every day. Popular artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Liz Phair (an alumna) and Branford Marsalis also frequent the Finney stage. One midnight a month the student-organized midnight Organ Pump takes over the building, as performers take turns playing Finney's huge pipe organs.
