The New College Lanes

Welcome back to another season of bowling at Oberlin College Lanes! You may have noticed quite a few changes made over the summer. Along with new crimson and gold carpet on the walls we installed Brunswick Proanvilane synthetic lanes and approaches. These new lanes have several features that bowlers will enjoy, such as breakpoint tracers about 35 feet downlane, less glare on the lanes, and every fifth board is darkly outlined to provide better reference points.

The bowling lanes aren’t the only the only things that were renovated over the summer. The College Lanes website has been completely overhauled. We now have the most up-to-date information about Leagues, Parties, Open Play Hours, the Schedule of Events at the Cat in the Cream, and now you can read What’s Happening from your home computer!
Currently on the site you can check out a day-by-day photographic look at the 2007 Renovation project. We also have the top scores for the season on our High Scores page as well as an archive for previous months’ What’s Happening.

New College Lanes Staff

It is a new school year and that means new student staff members have joined the College Lanes family. Our new lane attendants are Mercedes Allen, Zach Donnelly-Krall and Ben Kagan-Guthrie. Alan Pyke is rejoining us after studying abroad. Rufus Nicoll is the new maintenance assistant. Our new Pool Room coordinator is Carl Schubert. Be sure to say “Hi!” as they provide you with stellar customer service!
