Summer Season

School will be out, but bowling will still be in session at College Lanes this summer. Our Tuesday Seniors League will still be bowling every week at 1pm and is always welcome to new bowlers. For our evening bowlers, there is still room in our Summer Mixed Leagues. We will also be hosting a PBA Experience league. Ask your lane attendant for more information!

Big Shots

As the bowling season comes to an end, there are usually a handful of bowlers who pull out all the stops on the way to some monster scores. During the Friday Juniors league on April 6, coach Tom Reid bowled a perfect 300 game during the “I Beat My Coach” tournament. It was Tom’s third perfect game in this center and his first in over a decade.

On April 18, Tim Carey bowled a 601 series during the qualifying portion of the Singles Shootout: PBAX league. A 600+ series is pretty impressive in a PBA Experience league, but not nearly as impressive as the 762 series he bowled in the match-play portion of the league. A 10-pin in the ninth frame of the third match kept Tim from possibly reaching 800 that night. His 762 series is currently the 13th highest Sport series in the country this season.

Standard points are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis for the top five games and series each month, September through April. Men Standard Bowlers earn 5 bonus points for each 700+ series and 298+ game.
Women Standard Bowlers earn 5 bonus points for each 600+ series and 275+ game.
PBAX Bowlers earn 10 bonus points for each 700 series, 5 bonus points for each 600 series, 5 bonus points for each 250+ game, 3 bonus points for each 225-249 game, and 1 bonus point for each 200-224 game.
Standard Bowlers may earn points for only one game and one series each month.
PBAX Bowlers may earn points for one PBAX game/series in addition to separate Standard scores each month.
Top point-earner is Bowler of the Year. Top 5 point-earners comprise the All-Star Team.
