For Students
If you are an Oberlin College student who wants to get involved with the local community, the Center for Service and Learning has lots of ways to help you get involved:
If you are interested in coordinating a community service opportunity, taking a possible Community Service Exco, or want assistance matching your strengths and interests with local community service opportunities, check out the Community Service Resource Center.
If you have a Federal Work-Study award in your financial aid package and you would like to get paid to do off-campus community service, the Community Service Work-Study Program is a great option.
If you have a Federal Work-Study award in your financial aid package and you are specifically interested in tutoring elementary school students, promoting literacy, and learning more about elementary/early childhood education, America Reads may be the perfect program for you.
If you are interested in taking a class that has a service aspect and getting academic credit for service learning, learn more about Community Based Learning courses.
