Library: In the CSRC office, the CSRC stores and manages several flyers, pamphlets, books, and other informational material about service and volunteer opportunities. The library is new and constantly growing. If you have service or service related material that you would like us to include, please send us a copy vial mail at:

Big Books of Service: The CSRC’s Library contains information on over 250 non-profit organizations ranging from Oberlin and Lorain County to national and international organizations dealing with many different issues.

Virtual Volunteer Fair: The Virtual Volunteer Fair is an online listing of various community organizations that the Center for Service and Learning is in partnership with. Organizations are divided by interests (e.g. arts, hunger & homelessness). Using the Virtual Volunteer Fair you can familiarize yourself with the non-profits in the Oberlin and Lorain areas as well as with the needs in these communities. If you find an organization that you are interested in working with or just want to know more about, contact the CSRC at community.services@oberlin.edu.

Oberlin Classifieds Volunteer Page: This page of the Oberlin classifieds website contains immediate volunteer opportunities that are posted by the CSRC, local non-profits, individuals in the community, Oberlin students, faculty, and staff.

Communication: One of the primary resources the CSRC provides is a space to field questions about community service opportunities. We typically handle inquiries about current service opportunities, request for volunteers, community service exco, and the intramural community service competition. We also work with the CSL in advertising winter term community service opportunities. If you have any community service related questions, contact the CSRC, or stop by, and we can help you.

ListServe: The CSRC moderates a listserve for students who want to hear about current community service opportunities. This list advertises CSRC programs and community partner’s request for one-time and on-going volunteers. To have your name added to the listserve, email your name and request to Community.Services@oberlin.edu.
