October 2, 2007 -- Ohio Wesleyan visited Oberlin this afternoon for a North Coast Athletic Conference women's soccer match at Fred Shults Field. The Yeowomen (2-7-1, 0-2-0 NCAC) played a hard-fought contest, but the visiting Battling Bishops (5-3-3, 1-0-1 NCAC) scored three goals in the last 50 minutes to come away with the 3-0 victory.
Ohio Wesleyan out-shot Oberlin, 15-6, and held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks. Caitlin Logan, Allie Cozzone, and Chelsea Keller scored goals for the Battling Bishops, while Amanda Travers was the only Yeowoman with more than one shot attempt. Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Grabinski had four saves for Oberlin in 90 minutes of action.
Oberlin will travel to Earlham College on October 6 for a NCAC showdown in Richmond, Ind.
