September 19, 2007 -- Case Western Reserve University made the short trip from Cleveland this afternoon to square off against the Oberlin women's soccer team at Fred Shults Field. The Yeowomen held the Spartans scoreless for over 73 minutes, but the visitors rallied for two goals to defeat Oberlin, 2-0.
The sophomore goal-keeping duo of Sarah Grabinski and Christie Zelnik combined for six saves, but Oberlin was out-shot 5-11, and four of the Yeowomen's shots were saved by Case's keepers.
With the loss, the Yeowomen's record now stands at 2-4-1. The Spartans improved to 5-2 with the victory.
Oberlin will travel to Marietta College on September 22 for its next game. The match against the Pioneers is slated for 2:00 p.m.
