The Oberlin women's soccer team lost in its final game
of the 2007 season today to SUNY-Fredonia, 0-1. With
the loss at Fred Shults Field, the Yeowomen close out
the year with a 3-13-1 overall (1-8-0 North Coast Athletic
Conference) record.
Oberlin played a great defensive match this afternoon.
The Yeowomen held the Blue Devils scoreless for the
entire first half and for 13 minutes in the second
half until Lauren Heilweil's score gave the visitors
the only goal of the day.
In her first start of the year in goal, Leslie Mills
did an outstanding job for Head Coach Kristen Hayden's
squad. Mills tallied a save in 90 minute of work. Lois
Immerman was the lone Yeowoman with multiple shots
in the contest.
